AKAs: Electronic Mailing Lists

Listserv (a Trademark of L-Soft International) is a server software package which manages electronic mailing lists. The University of Miami makes available the Listserv mailing list manager as a service to members of the University community. This action should not be seen as an endorsement of the purposes of any list or of any messages carried on any list.

  • An electronic mailing list is a collection of e-mail addresses. The idea is that people subscribe to a particular electronic mailing list, then, whenever a subscriber sends a message to the list, that message is automatically distributed by the Listserv software to everyone who is subscribed to the list.

  • No fees are charged for this service as the University has entered into a site license for Listserv.
