ITS Pilot Program: Passkeys

As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen cybersecurity at the University of Miami, Information Technology & Systems (ITS) is piloting the use of passkeys as a phishing-resistant form of multi-factor authentication (MFA).

The following pilot program step-by-step instructions are for ITS employees only.

Step 1: Enroll a Passkey

To participate in the pilot, if you haven't done so already, please register a passkey for your primary UM account using one of the options below, and verify you can successfully authenticate using your passkey.

To help us better understand the user experience and identify any compatibility issues, we are asking pilot participants to share their feedback.
