Changes to Email Environment for External Parties Sending to @miamiedu.mail.onmicrosoft.com Addresses

Due to recent phishing attempts and as a security precaution, changes were made to the University's Microsoft email environment which may impact those users who are expecting emails from external sources to be delivered to any @miamiedu.mail.onmicrosoft.com address.

Addresses with @miamiedu.mail.onmicrosoft.com are typical used when emailing Microsoft Teams channels, SharePoint site groups, and/or Microsoft email groups.

Emails from external parties sent to @miamiedu.mail.onmicrosoft.com addresses will be blocked and will not be delivered.

If you are affected by this change, please send an email to the IT Service Desk at help@miami.edu with the subject line, "Help with External Emails to @miamiedu.mail.onmicrosoft.com Addresses" and a technical support specialist will be assigned accordingly.
