Faculty: Please Update Course Links from Lynda.com to LinkedIn Learning

As you may know, Microsoft upgraded Lynda.com, UM's learning and development platform, to LinkedIn Learning in June 2019. After the upgrade, Lynda.com links were automatically redirected to LinkedIn Learning content. However, these redirects were set up temporarily by LinkedIn Learning, and redirects from Lynda.com to LinkedIn Learning became obsolete on May 31, 2020.

If you have any shared Lynda.com links within your UM course materials, e.g., Blackboard, please replace these links with the LinkedIn Learning links to ensure access is continued. If you did not link to courses within Lynda.com in your UM course materials, then no action is required.

How to Identify Course and Video Links in LinkedIn Learning

How to Identify Playlist/Collections Links in LinkedIn Learning

  • Access LinkedIn Learning by visiting lil.miami.edu and signing in using your University of Miami credentials.
  • On the LinkedIn Learning home page, click the My Learning tab located on the top right-hand side of the navigation menu.
  • On the My Learning page, review the sub menus below the My Learning title.
  • Click the collections sub menu to view a list of your collections. (Note: this section was previously titled Playlist in Lynda.)
  • Next to the collection, select Share.
  • Define who can view the collection: Only visible to you, University of Miami, or All LinkedIn members.
  • Click Copy to copy to the link to your clipboard.

LinkedIn Learning has created a technical document which provides additional details on how to redirect various types of links, includes course, video, and playlist links.
